AG CONNECT Expo -- Show snapshot onsite
The show organizer, Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), provides a snapshot look at AG CONNECT EXPO as of Wednesday, January 13, 2010, close of day.
The inaugural show runs January 12 (preview day) through January 15, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
A LOOK AHEAD - PLANNING UNDERWAY FOR NEXT AG CONNECT EXPO - January 7-10, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia
- Over 2/3 of the space of the inaugural show has already been reserved for 2011 during onsite sign-up sessions at the 2010 show.
- After 2011, AG CONNECT Expo will be on a biennial schedule with Agritechnica (held in Hanover, Germany) in recognition of the global scope of AG CONNECT Expo.
- Show organizers anticipate an even more encompassing show with more exhibits from the various agricultural sectors in a professional business environment.
SUMMARY - INAUGURAL AG CONNECT EXPO
- As of Wednesday, January 13, 2010, close of day, more than 7,000 registrants and 312 exhibitors using 167,800 net square feet of exhibit space.
- Registrants include more than 2,000 producers, more than 1,800 agribusiness professionals and nearly 800 dealer personnel.
- Approximately 20 percent of attendees from outside the U.S.; Attendees from more than 62 countries, 49 out of 50 states, and nine out of 10 Canadian provinces.
- International registrants include delegations from more than 20 countries, including 16 delegations through the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program (DOC/IBP).
- Approximately 80 percent of registrants participate in purchasing decisions.
- Of producer registrants, more than 80 percent are farm owners/operators, and have an average total of nearly 2,900 acres per farm/operation.
- More than 30 education sessions, with many sessions overflowing, and show tours were sell-outs.
- Approximately 35 percent of attendees signed up for an education session or program.
- Show floor includes exhibit pavilions from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China and Europe, as well as IFPE International Fluid Power Exposition pavilion and shortliners pavilion from Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA).
- Many co-located industry events - including Agrievolution (Second World Summit on Agricultural Machinery - Fifth U.S.-Mongolian Business Forum - American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference and AE50 innovation awards – Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association Annual Convention and State Agriculture and Rural Leaders Annual Legislative Agriculture Chairs Summit, and exhibitor dealer meetings.
- More than 40 official supporting organizations, including Agritechnica, the world's largest agriculture machinery show, and its organizer DLG (German Agricultural Society).
